This Privacy Policy explains how Qreet ("Qreet", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the Qreet service, website, dashboard, APIs, and the Qreet plugin for WooCommerce (together, the "Service"). Qreet acts as a service provider (processor) to the merchants who use it; those merchants are responsible for their own privacy notices to their customers.
1. Information we collect
We collect:
- Merchant account data — business name, email address, phone, business type, and location (country, city, province/state) provided when an account is created, plus your store URL and API key.
- Order and message data — for each message, the recipient name, the selected occasion, order identifiers, and the recorded video, voice, or text message and its associated QR/link tokens.
- Recipient interactions — when a recipient scans a card or opens a message link, we process the request needed to serve the message.
- Billing data — records of credit purchases. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe, not by Qreet.
- Technical data — standard log information such as IP address, device/browser type, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to create, host, and deliver messages and QR cards; to operate merchant accounts and process credit purchases; to provide support; to secure and improve the Service; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Sharing
We share information with service providers that help us run the Service, such as our payment processor (Stripe), hosting and infrastructure providers, and email delivery providers, under agreements that limit their use of the information. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Qreet, our users, or the public.
4. Retention
Messages and their media are retained for the period needed to deliver them to recipients and to provide the Service, after which they may be deleted or expire. Account and billing records are retained as needed for legal, accounting, and operational purposes. Merchants may request deletion of specific message data.
5. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object or request portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. If you are a gift recipient or customer of a merchant, please also contact that merchant, who controls how your data was collected.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
